Job summary

Bowen Health seeks a Skills Technician to support families by advocating, teaching, and modeling homemaking skills. You will assist with transitions to self-sufficiency through home-based coaching, clinic visits, and community outreach.

You will transport patients, coordinate services with Case Managers, and document progress while ensuring safety and compliance. A background in mental health and a valid driver's license are preferred for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits, or a HS diploma with four years of prior experience.
  • Two years of mental health setting experience preferred.
  • CPI, BLS and First Aid certifications must be obtained after hire and kept current.
  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance required.
  • Clear criminal and driving background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Document patient progress notes and update intake information.
  • Coordinate homemaker services with Case Manager per care plan.
  • Instruct and coach families in daily living and housekeeping skills.
  • Advocate, teach, and model appropriate home skills for independence.
  • Transport patients to appointments and perform light vehicle maintenance.
  • Attend medical appointments with staff and ensure timely discharge when appropriate.
  • Complete clinical documentation with precise start/stop times.
