Job summary

Bowen Health seeks a Skills Technician to support families and patients in homemaking, skills training, and case management. The role may involve transporting patients to appointments and providing home-based services, with work across Bowen Health locations, the community, and patients'' homes.

You will advocate, teach, demonstrate, and monitor new skills to promote self-sufficiency and independent living, coordinating with Case Managers to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60+ undergraduate credits, or High School Diploma with 4+ years of prior experience.
• Two years of mental health experience preferred.
• CPI Certification required after hire and maintained.
• BLS Certification required after hire and maintained.
• First Aid Certification required after hire and maintained.
• Valid driver''s license and active auto insurance; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient intake information for accuracy.
• Coordinate homemaker services with Case Manager per care plan.
• Instruct patients in homemaker services including hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Advocate, teach, demonstrate, monitor, and model housekeeping skills.
• Assist families in private homes dealing with cleanliness and utilities.
• Transport patients to appointments in surrounding counties while following laws and safety rules.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist patients to learn new skills to improve functioning and independence.
• Participate in medical appointments with staff as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately with start/stop times.
