Job summary

Bowen Health seeks a Skills Technician to assist families in developing self-sufficiency by advocating, teaching, and modeling new skills at home, in the community, or at Bowen Health locations. The role may transport patients for appointments and provide case management to an assigned caseload.

The position requires coordinating care plans, documenting activities, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure goals and progress are met for both child/adolescent and adult populations as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree or 60 undergraduate credit hours, or High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of prior experience.
• Experience: 2 years in a mental health setting.
• Certifications: CPI, BLS, First Aid; after-hire and kept current.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Criminal and driving background checks completed.
• Must be at least 21 years old; 25 to operate Bowen vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patient intake information for accuracy.
• Coordinate homemaker services with Case Manager per care coordination plan.
• Instruct patients in appropriate homemaker services including cleanliness, personal hygiene, budgeting, and activities of daily living.
• Advocate, teach, demonstrate, monitor, and model housekeeping skills.
• Transport patients to and from appointments in surrounding counties.
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately with exact start/stop times and timely submission.
• Other duties as assigned.
