Job summary

Wabtec in Jackson, TN is seeking a Production Operator to assemble or disassemble on a production line, following work instructions and engineering drawings to produce a variety of products. You will help ensure quality and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement of our processes.

You will read industrial blueprints, use the necessary tools and equipment, and collaborate with others to meet production targets and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend industrial blueprints.
• Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.
• Must have good listening and communication skills.
• Able to work well with others and to be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or disassemble on a production line. You may be asked to assist or train in multiple work cells.
• Follow specified work instructions to assemble and test as required.
• Follow applicable procedures
• Keep work area clean and in order
• Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines
• Report malfunction of equipment and process deviations to appropriate personnel.
• You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
