Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Production Operator in Jackson, TN to follow work instructions and assemble a wide variety of products while ensuring quality and prioritizing safety. The role reports to the area Supervisor and operates within the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions team to support internal and external customers and suppliers.

Daily duties include assembly/disassembly on the production line, following procedures, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend industrial blueprints.
• Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.
• Must have good listening and communication skills.
• Able to work well with others and to be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or disassemble on a production line. You may be asked to assist or train in multiple work cells.
• Follow specified work instructions to assemble and test as required.
• Follow applicable procedures
• Keep work area clean and in order
• Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines
• Report malfunction of equipment and process deviations to appropriate personnel.
• You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
