Job summary

Wabtec in Jackson, TN is seeking a Production Operator to assemble and test heat exchangers on the production line, following work instructions and engineering drawings. You will ensure product quality and safety, meeting production standards and contributing to efficient processes.

You will assemble or disassemble across multiple cells, assist or train others, and keep the work area clean and orderly while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use tools and equipment for assembly operations.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Able to work well with others to be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assembles heat exchangers and tests units using various methods including pressure testing.
• Follow work instructions and engineering drawings to assemble products and ensure quality.
• Maintain safety as the number one priority and meet production standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized; report equipment malfunctions or deviations.
• Assist or train in multiple work cells as needed.
