Job summary

Aerotek in Corvallis, OR is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to read blueprints and weld using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and other processes. You will fabricate, repair and assemble metal structures in a busy weld shop, ensuring proper fit, alignment and quality.

This full-time contract-to-hire role offers steady hours, on-site work, and benefits. Candidates should have experience in welding in a shop, strong MIG skills, blueprint reading, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a weld shop or similar metal fabrication environment.
• Comfort with various welding processes and project requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to inspect for conformance to specs.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment across multiple processes.
• Fabricate, repair and assemble metal structures per drawings and specs.
• Read blueprints, prepare materials, lay out parts and ensure alignment.
• Cut, braze, solder, and shape metal using appropriate equipment.
• Grind and finish welds to meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
