Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a skilled Welder to perform fabrication and repair work on containers, compactors, and related equipment in a shop and field setting.

The role requires MIG/ARC welding, plasma cutting, and the ability to operate small shop tools and a forklift, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to contribute to project installations and field service while maintaining quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding is preferred.
• One (1) year welding and cutting experience or participation in or graduation technical training program, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on company/customer containers, compactors, and assisting with placing of containers or compactor equipment.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components on containers and cut steel with plasma cutter and other tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company, ANSI, and OSHA standards.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing computer systems.
• Assist with compactor installations and other shop projects as needed.
