Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Winter Seasonal Fleet Maintenance Assistant to perform basic upkeep on mountain fleet vehicles under guidance from more skilled mechanics. This role supports the Parts Lead in managing inventories and ensuring parts availability for service teams.

You should have mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. The position offers on-site work, housing availability, and opportunities to learn and grow within a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Vehicle maintenance experience or mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain fleet vehicle parts inventories, including parts purchasing.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on a variety of mountain fleet vehicles with guidance from Intermediate and Advanced Mechanics.
• Communicate with both internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Be part of a team-oriented shop in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety by being an active participant in a safety-oriented shop culture.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position performs basic preventative maintenance on all types of mountain fleet vehicles with guidance and direction of more skilled mechanics. This role also collaborates with the Parts Lead to manage and maintain vehicle parts inventories. We are looking for an individual that has a mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $22.99/hr - $27.05/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time hours available
• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
• Housing Availability: Yes
