Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Season Vehicle Maintenance Technician for Keystone, CO to uphold safety standards and perform maintenance on our state‑of‑the‑art fleet. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing gasoline and diesel engines, braking systems, and hydraulic components.

Responsibilities include training staff, promoting collaboration, and ensuring adherence to safety policies. Housing is available, and wage ranges from $24.24 to $30.29 per hour for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027,

Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, truck, heavy equipment fleet diagnostics and repair.
  • Able to analyze complex vehicle and equipment problems and choose appropriate actions.
  • Own tools and willingness to buy more as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Train personnel in safe operation of fleet equipment and lifts.
  • Diagnose and perform major repairs on gasoline and diesel engines and related systems.
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic and other field repairs.
  • Inspect and service vehicle braking systems and related power-Take-Off equipment.
  • Support growth and development of employees and foster collaboration.
  • Adhere to safety policies and company programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role provides maintenance and repair services for our state‑of‑the‑art fleet.

Job Responsibilities
  • Train and instruct personnel in safe operation of fleet equipment such as overhead cranes, vehicle maintenance lifts, measurement and diagnostic equipment, forklifts and hand tools.
  • Diagnose and perform major repairs and overhauls on gasoline and diesel engines, including inspection, troubleshooting, cleaning, adjustment, and installation of fuel, ignition, electrical, cooling, hydraulic system parts and controls, and welding.
  • Diagnose and perform electrical, hydraulic and other field repairs.
  • Inspect, service and repair vehicle braking systems; diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle air brakes, hydraulic systems and associated power‑take‑off equipment.
  • Support the professional growth and development of employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Engage around priorities to foster collaboration and results.
  • Adhere to and promote company safety policies and programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Experience in automotive, truck, heavy equipment, fleet diagnostics and repair.
  • Ability to analyze complex vehicle and equipment problems, evaluate alternatives and recommend or adopt appropriate courses of action.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful internal MVR review.
  • Own tools and willingness to purchase additional tools as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Pay range: $24.24/hr – $30.29/hr.
