Job summary

NSC in Nashville is seeking a Skilled Trades Recruiter to source, screen, interview, and onboard qualified trade professionals. You will build pipelines, partner with managers, and manage multiple open positions in a fast-paced environment.

You will engage with trade schools, job boards, referrals, and networking to attract candidates for electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, welders, and other trades, while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or call center experience.
• Experience recruiting skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or blue-collar roles is preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and online recruiting platforms.
• Valid driver's license and ability to attend recruiting events as needed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for skilled trades positions including electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, welders, mechanics, and other trades.
• Source qualified candidates via job boards, social media, referrals, networking, trade schools, career fairs, and community outreach.
• Conduct phone screenings and interviews to evaluate technical skills, certifications, work history, and cultural fit.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled trades candidates for current and future hiring needs.
• Coordinate interviews, reference checks, background screenings, and pre-employment requirements.
• Extend offers and communicate compensation, start dates, and onboarding details.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Assist with creating and posting compelling job ads to attract skilled trades talent.
• Attend hiring events, trade schools, and community networking opportunities.
• Maintain ATS records and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Provide exceptional customer service to applicants, employees, and hiring managers.
