Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support telecom construction projects across outdoor sites. You will trench, load materials, and prepare job sites with hand tools, while building aerial and underground cable systems and transporting equipment daily.

You’ll need a safety-focused mindset, a hands-on approach, and an interest in learning telecom trades. CDL and DOT card are preferred; home daily with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Safety is a daily priority with a track record of quality work.
• Willingness for hands-on, outdoor, and physically demanding tasks.
• Desire to learn telecom construction trades and advance in the field.
• Possession of CDL and DOT medical card preferred; valid license required.
• Experience with trenching and excavation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of utility construction for telecom projects.
• Dig trenches, unload materials, and prepare job sites with hand tools.
• Work on outdoor sites and transport heavy equipment daily.
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems.
• Troubleshoot field issues and learn various tools and equipment.
