Qualifications

• Prior experience in small engine repair or related mechanical field.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
• Familiarity with outdoor power equipment brands Husqvarna, Briggs & Stratton, Honda, and Stihl.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple repairs efficiently.
• Must supply own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, and trimmers
• Perform routine tune-ups, oil changes, carburetor cleaning, and preventive maintenance services
• Inspect and test equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
• Order, source, and replace worn or damaged parts and components
• Communicate repair needs, timelines, and costs clearly with customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Document service records and completed repairs accurately
