Geater is a customer-focused machining and sheet metal manufacturer seeking energetic individuals for multiple on-site positions in Independence, Iowa. Roles include drill press, machinist, machine operator, press brake, laser/punch, hardware installation, finishing, and quality inspection.

We are looking for energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team. We have many opportunities available on all shifts such as:

Drill Press/Utility
Machinist
Machine Operator
Press Brake Operator
Punch/Laser Operator
Hardware Installation Technician
Finishing Operations Technician
Quality Inspection Technician

Education and/or Experience:

Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Physical Demands Include:

Sitting, standing, and walking.
Use of fingers, hands and arms to handle, grip, and grasp objects, controls, parts, tools and to operate required equipment; and reach, push and pull with hands and arms.
Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Being able to see (20/25 vision with or without glasses) and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations.
