Job summary

Geater is seeking a Hardware Installation Technician in Iowa to assemble metal parts, attach sub-assemblies and install fasteners based on work orders and blueprints. You will operate drilling and riveting equipment and perform routine tool maintenance while ensuring parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders, pieces and blueprints to determine process, materials and sequence.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines or other installation equipment.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
• Communicate with engineers and production staff to resolve problems.
• Submit change requests to keep production times competitive.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components. Operate drill presses, riveting machines, or other installation equipment to assist in assembly operation.

• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines, or other installation equipment to assist in assembly operation.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.

• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications and blueprints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, supervisors or others to resolve problems that may arise.
• Submit change requests as necessary to help keep production times competitive.
• Other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

• Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
