Job summary

Geater Machining & Manufacturing, Co is seeking a Hardware Installation Technician to assemble metal products, attach sub-assemblies and install fasteners. You will analyze orders, pieces, and blueprints to determine materials and sequence, then fasten parts and install hardware with electrical components.

You will operate installation equipment and perform minor repairs while ensuring accuracy to specifications.

Qualifications

• Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders, pieces and blueprints to determine process, materials and sequence required to assemble parts.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines or other installation equipment to assist assembly operation.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using measuring devices.
• Communicate with engineers, production personnel, supervisors to resolve problems.
• Submit change requests to keep production times competitive.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Operate riveting machines, or other installation equipment to assist in assembly operation.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.

• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications and blueprints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, supervisors or others to resolve problems that may arise.
• Submit change requests as necessary to help keep production times competitive.
• Other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.
