The Prep Cook plays a vital role in our kitchen by ensuring ingredients are prepared, organized, and ready for service. This position supports all stations and helps maintain the quality and consistency our guests expect.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of prep or kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
  • Passion for food and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow recipes and prep lists with accuracy
  • ServeSafe certification is a plus
  • PM availability preferred; weekends required

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards
  • Maintain organized prep stations and ensure all items are properly labeled and stored
  • Follow FIFO (first in, first out) practices and monitor product freshness
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
  • Support line cooks during service as needed
  • Ensure all food is handled and stored according to safety guidelines
  • Help maintain sufficient prep levels to ensure a smooth service period
