Job description

We’re looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help set the foundation for unforgettable dining experiences. As a Prep Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting our chefs in crafting delicious dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes.
  • Organization: Stock and label all ingredients in accessible areas while ensuring proper storage practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out).
  • Cooking Assistance: Perform basic cooking tasks like parboiling, reducing sauces,Baking meats and prepping components for line cooks.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and taking out trash.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager or chef.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a kitchen or food prep role (1-2 years preferred).

Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
