Qualifications

• Previous staffing or scheduling experience required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of schedules, shift coverage, and overtime management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
• Discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly nursing schedules.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage based on census, acuity, and facility needs.
• Respond to call-outs and coordinate replacement coverage promptly.
• Monitor overtime, staffing levels, attendance, and agency utilization.
• Maintain accurate employee availability and scheduling records.
• Verify staff credentials and required documentation before scheduling.
• Assist with onboarding and scheduling newly hired nursing employees.
• Coordinate with Nursing Administration, Human Resources, Payroll, and department leaders.
• Communicate schedule updates clearly and professionally.
• Prepare staffing reports and identify recurring coverage needs.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable staffing requirements and facility policies.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide weekend or holiday support when needed.
