Job summary

Avante at Jacksonville Beach Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Cook to prepare resident meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with federal, state and local standards and Avante’s established standards, policies and procedures; also, as directed by Dining Services Manager to ensure that a quality dining experience is provided to all residents. This full-time, on-site position requires ServSafe certification (or successful certification within 90

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and follow directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• ServSafe Certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks and beverages per menus.
• Follow portion control procedures.
• Ensure proper storage of raw and leftover foods.
• Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Attend in-service training and meetings.
• Support Dining Services Manager on projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
