Job summary

Cascadia E E LLC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for Kruse Way Post Acute in Lake Oswego, OR. Shifts include Day 6 AM–2 PM and Evening 2 PM–10 PM, with 4–8 hour shifts and minimum two pickups per month.

The role involves administering routine medications to residents, performing glucose checks, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate medication records. Completion of CMA program and Oregon CMA certification required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacological terminology.
• Ability to manage medications for a large number of patients without making dosage errors.
• Understanding of HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses and prepares oral medications as per physician orders.
• Provides routine daily medications to stable residents (prescription or non-prescription).
• Administers and documents medications in the indicated dosage at the correct time.
• Performs capillary blood glucose checks.
• Takes resident’s vital signs and monitors for side effects.
• Reports changes in a resident’s vital signs or adverse drug effects to the Charge Nurse.
• Counts controlled substances.
• Cleans and restsocks medication cart.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
