Job summary

Friendsview Retirement Community in Newberg, OR seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents’ health and happiness under physician orders, working with our nursing team to ensure medications are passed accurately and compassionately.

Full-time evening shifts include every weekend and holiday rotations. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail in electronic health records, safety, and resident confidentiality. Experience as CMA preferred; Oregon license required.

Qualifications

• Licensed CMA (Oregon State Board of Nursing).
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain before Orientation).
• Weekend availability.
• DHS background check, drug screen, and reference checks.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (I-9 documentation).
• HIPAA compliance and resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments per facility policies.
• Maintaining accurate electronic health records with attention to detail.
• Building relationships with residents and families.
• Promoting safety, infection control, and residents' rights.
• Assisting CNAs and nurses with light nursing care as needed.
• Contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.
