Job summary

The Creston Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team in Portland, Oregon. The PRN per-diem role administers medications to residents, monitors conditions, and supports daily care in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

This position requires current CMA certification (preferably Washington NAC with 1 year of experience and a 90-hour program).

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification (Washington)
• 1 year healthcare experience, preferably long-term care
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Basic computer skills for documentation
• Washington NAC with 1 year experience, 90-hour program, and competency exam is required

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols and state regulations.
• Monitor residents’ health conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain MAR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Educate residents and families about medication management and side effects.
• Collaborate with nursing to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with infection control standards.
• Respond to residents’ needs with empathy and support.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
