The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is seeking a Night Maintenance worker to care for grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, compliant manner. The role includes responding to alarms, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with resident transport and safety duties.

You will follow established maintenance schedules and guidelines, working nights with some weekend shifts. The position offers benefits and a bi-weekly pay schedule in the Quincy area.

Formación

• Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and follow instructions.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs+ and performing physical maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work harmoniously with residents and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Follow maintenance schedules for your shift.
• Receive and follow maintenance instructions from Director of Maintenance.
• Respond to fire alarms and notify supervisor during emergencies.
• Perform routine ground maintenance including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
• Replace burned out light bulbs, especially for night lights and exit lights.
• Maintain campus security and ensure exterior doors are secured.
• Patrol campus twice per shift.
• Transport residents as needed.
• Deliver specimens to the hospital as requested by Nursing.
• Keep service vehicles clean and maintained; perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform routine facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, mechanical).
• Wash windows and change HVAC filters as scheduled.
• Run errands as directed.
• Dispose of garbage and hazardous materials safely.
• Inform Maintenance Director of equipment or supply needs.
• Attend in-service programs and on-the-job training.

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is looking for Night Maintenance to join our growing team!

Job Summary: The primary purpose of your position is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

PAY RANGE: $18.03 - $20.03/HR - BI-WEEKLY PAY

Hours: 6:00pm - 6:30am - Some weekends

Responsibilities

• Make sure maintenance schedules are followed for your shift.
• Receive and follow maintenance instructions from Director of Maintenance in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Respond to building and/or cottage fire alarm system and take appropriate action when the fire alarm system sounds. Notify the supervisor in case of emergency.
• Perform routine ground maintenance which includes but is not limited to mowing, trimming, pruning, sweeping, snow removal, watering plants/flowers, etc.
• Replace all burned out light bulbs with particular emphasis to night lights, call lights, and exit lights.
• Maintain building and campus security including assistance as needed with any unauthorized person in the facility.
• Make sure exterior doors are locked in accordance with the department policy (Night Maintenance personnel only).
• Patrol main campus and Cherry Lane campus twice a night (Night Maintenance personnel only).
• Transport residents as needed.
• Responsible for delivering specimens to the hospital as requested by the Nursing Department.
• Keep service vehicles clean and well maintained at all times making sure preventative maintenance and inspections are performed as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on the facility which includes but is not limited to light plumbing, light electrical, painting, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Wash windows and change HVAC filters as scheduled by the Maintenance schedule
• Run job-related errands as requested by your supervisor.
• Dispose all garbage as needed and/or otherwise directed by the supervisor.
• Dispose all hazardous materials in a safe and sanitary manner in accordance with the facility’s established policies and procedures.
• Inform the Director of Maintenance of any equipment or supply needs.
• Perform all other maintenance tasks and other duties as instructed by the Maintenance Director.
• Attend and participate in all pertinent in-service programs and on-the-job training programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old with at least a high school diploma or a GED and/or experience commensurate with the position being offered.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner and be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to work harmoniously with residents and members of the staff.
• Must be able to lift loads in excess of 50 lbs. and do hard physical labor including lifting, pulling, stooping, bending, twisting, furniture moving, snow shoveling, and the like.
