Job summary

Wilsonart seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and preventive maintenance on plant equipment under supervision. You will help install and modify machinery to meet production needs and ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities include welding, fabricating parts, following safety procedures, and maintaining clear records. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of mechanical maintenance experience or 1 year of related education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to maintenance work.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to operate a welding torch and cutting torch.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment breakdowns as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in assigned area.
• Modify equipment to meet production and quality needs.
• Install new equipment in plant as required.
• Fabricate, weld, repair and rebuild parts as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
