Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor will drive continuous improvement of the maintenance function in support of our Quality Management System and ensure that maintenance jobs are completed in a timely, safe and responsible manner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Insure compliance with government and safety regulations and company safe working practices.
- Effectively lead and direct 10+ Maintenance Technicians.
- Monitor, measure and improve predictive and preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Evaluate and develop core competencies of Maintenance staff.
- Monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics for the department.
- Manage projects utilizing internal and third‑party resources and report on status to milestones.
- Plan and direct activities related to design, modification and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Senior Maintenance Technician knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of maintenance productivity and budget metrics.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- Proven project management skills and experience.
- Good organizational skills, analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to balance use of internal and third‑party resources to accomplish objectives.
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise software for purchasing and Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Previous experience with heavy industrial plant maintenance including hydraulics, pumps, electrical and PLC’s strongly preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required; Maintenance knowledge and related experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
- Ability to participate in respiratory management program.
