You will read blueprints, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, set up machines, adjust feeds and speeds, and verify tolerances to ensure products meet specifications. This role requires manual dexterity and strict safety awareness, with collaboration across engineering and manufacturing staff.

Qualifications

• Experience operating milling machines, lathes and drill presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Precision measuring using micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to set up and adjust machine tools for precision work.

Responsabilités

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other tools.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances with micrometers and Vernier calipers.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specs using precision instruments.
• Set up and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining.
• Align and secure fixtures and tools on machines.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
• Monitor feed and speed during machining.
• Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock for cuts.
• Study drawings to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Observe machines to diagnose malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Check lubrication and cooling of workpieces.
• Clean and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Confer with engineering and supervision to exchange technical information.
