Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team supporting production of precision steel components. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, follow safety and quality standards, and independently set up and operate manual machining equipment to meet tight tolerances.

The role focuses on turning technical drawings into accurate parts, inspecting with precision tools, and documenting production data while collaborating with engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years machinist experience in a manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment.
• Experience machining steel components and working to tight tolerances.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Experience operating manual lathes, mills, VTLs, and drill presses.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures and PPE requirements, and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate engine lathes, vertical turret lathes (VTLs), mills, drill presses, and other manual machining equipment
• Machine steel and alloy components to precise specifications and tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute machining operations
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments and verify quality to production standards
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues, maintain tooling and cutting tools, and document production data, labor hours, and quality checks
