Job summary

Champion Aerospace LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, machinery and grounds. The role requires proficiency in multiple trades and independent work methods, with assignments varying by location.

The Technician exercises technical independence in determining work methods and instructions. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, welding, piping and hydraulics, and troubleshooting electrical problems.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Proficient in PLC operations, programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical codes including OSHA Regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep facility in good repair and working order.
• Lubricate production and mechanical equipment per PM manuals.
• Perform welding, brazing and cutting with gas and electric equipment.
• Install, maintain and dismantle piping, fittings and hydraulics.
• Assist in maintenance and installation of machinery and service equipment.
• Follow policies, rules and procedures.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics proficiently.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical problems and equipment.
• Program, wire and troubleshoot AC devices.
• Have working knowledge of plant power distribution.
• Complete Hazardous Waste training after hire; handle and label waste.
