Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. They will work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, electrical systems and safety procedures to maximize reliability and uptime.

You will read blueprints and schematics, perform preventive maintenance, document actions, and support TPM initiatives while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a medium/heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and in-process documents.
• Clear communication in English and strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment and facility systems.
• Establish and follow PM schedules and procedures to maximize equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, flow diagrams, and one-line drawings to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Apply maintenance-related mathematical formulas to solve for area, volume, amperes, ohms, watts, and other calculations.
• Perform facility repairs including drywall, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and irrigation system maintenance.
• Regularly inspect assigned equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Document maintenance actions, irregularities, and improvement opportunities and communicate with team members.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and TPM initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
• Perform additional facility maintenance tasks as needed.

This role performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, electrical, and general facility maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and production performance.

Shift

1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:00a-3:00p

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems and equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a medium and/or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and in-process documents.
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical circuitry.
• Minimum welding, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance systems.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to certify color vision per electrical specifications.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Lean Manufacturing or TPM experience.
• Experience supporting facility infrastructure and building systems.
• Aerospace, foundry, or industrial manufacturing experience.
• Technical certifications in maintenance, electrical, or related trades.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, moving machinery, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and industrial equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Regular lifting and material handling; ability to safely move equipment and materials as required.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required.
• Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, electrical systems, and industrial hazards.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
