Job summary

IHOP in Pittsburg, KS seeks a Kitchen Team Member to store, prepare, cook, and properly package all food items in line with IHOP standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean workstation, following IHOP safety guidelines, stocking supplies, and assisting with other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager. The role requires 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and understand instructions in English and Spanish for recipes.
• Follows IHOP standards for safety, sanitation, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional working relationships with IHOP Team Members.
• Prepare, plate, and package food according to IHOP manuals.
• Memorize and apply IHOP galley terminology, plating, garnishing, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Comply with IHOP safety, health, sanitation standards and guidelines.
• Comply with uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or supervisor.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Stock and rotate supplies in kitchen, prep, and expo areas.
• Unload, un-box, rotate and store food, equipment and supplies.
• Sort, wash, and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, etc.
• Follow dish machine/sink procedures according to IHOP standards.
• Perform all cleaning duties according to IHOP standards.
• Identify and remedy any improperly prepared food before delivery.
