Overview

Position Summary:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems at jobsites while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required safety documentation.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues to ensure system integrity and functionality.
  • Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Identify and repair breakdowns, faults, and malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Collaborate with electricians to complete installations according to project specifications and timelines.
  • May be required to travel to different jobsites on short notice.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least twelve months of related experience in construction.
  • Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety, working towards the company's Zero Injury principles.
  • Proficient with electrical tools and equipment, including power drills, saws, meters, and testing devices.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Common sense understanding to follow instructions in written or oral form.
  • Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow procedures and standards.
Working Environment
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, and extreme heat.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands & Compensation

Hourly rate: $24.00 - $26.00, commensurate with experience.
