Job summary

HK Contractors, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support Rexburg-area operations in a team-focused environment. The role emphasizes safe equipment handling, daily logs, and adherence to safety regulations.

The position requires 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and strong teamwork and communication skills. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years heavy equipment operating experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be preferred depending on role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, and other machinery.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust to maintain productivity and safety.
• Follow MSHA/OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Load, transport, and stockpile materials; assist with site prep and material handling.
• Report major issues and conduct basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete daily logs.
