Job summary

HK Contractors, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to support construction, aggregate production, and materials handling. You will run loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and haul trucks, perform pre- and post-operation inspections, and maintain safe, productive site operations.

This role is based in Rexburg and surrounding areas. Requires 1–3 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Experience in construction, aggregates, or related industries is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL may be preferred depending on role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, and other machinery as assigned.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Monitor equipment performance and make operational adjustments to maintain productivity and efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
• Load, transport, and stockpile materials according to production requirements. Assist with site preparation, grading, and material handling tasks.
• Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs; report major issues to maintenance personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and project goals.
• Complete required daily logs, inspection reports, and production records.
