Job summary

CRH is seeking a skilled automotive/mechanical technician to repair and maintain heavy equipment and trucks at a radiologically controlled site. You will troubleshoot, dismantle, replace parts, and perform preventative maintenance to keep dozers, excavators, and support vehicles running safely.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 5 years of heavy equipment experience. DOE/HAZWOPER readiness and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to work well in a team or one-on-one.
• Proficient in basic math for measurements and parts inventory.
• DOE Rad Worker II qualification and 40 Hr OSHA HAZWOPER readiness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Dismantles devices to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
• Maintains preventive maintenance schedules and services vehicles.
• Orders parts, manages invoices, and uses computer for job functions.
• Installs parts and tests equipment performance after repairs.
