Job summary

Hadco Construction seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our fleet of heavy construction equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, scrapers, and haul trucks and support vehicles. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing preventative maintenance, keeping detailed service records, and testing repairs with safe operation.

Tools and CDL/welding preferred; field and shop work possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently in both shop and field environments.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with supervisors on repair timelines
• Operate equipment safely to test and verify repairs
• Respond to field service calls as needed
• Assist with shop organization and inventory of parts and supplies
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards
