Job summary

CRH, a leading global supplier of building materials, is seeking a skilled mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in machinery and mobile equipment. You will perform repairs, maintenance, and parts replacement while interpreting manuals and schematics to keep systems running smoothly.

You will use a wide range of tools and collaborate with engineers and technicians, maintaining safety and organization.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training or an associate's degree is a plus.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate and interact effectively across the organization.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Perform repairs or replace components as needed to restore operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and PM programs to reduce downtime.
• Generate work orders and close them in operating systems.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand system layouts.
• Utilize tools ranging from wrenches to diagnostic equipment and power tools.
• Collaborate with teammates, engineers, and technicians to complete projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; stay compliant with safety policies.
• May be on-call and able to respond as required.
• Install equipment and machinery as needed.
• Maintain punctual attendance and scheduling flexibility.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
