Job summary

CRH is seeking a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of construction and fleet equipment, including trucks, dozers, excavators, and engines. You will diagnose issues, perform durable repairs, and support safe operations in a hands‑on shop and field setting.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, parts management, and accurate documentation while adhering to company safety standards. A valid driver’s license is required, with project‑based on‑site work across facilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Preferably 5+ years of experience as automotive/mechanical mechanic on construction equipment.
Experience with Komatsu and CAT dozers, excavators, graders valued.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose issues and perform durable, cost‑effective repairs across a wide variety of equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and gasoline systems, including engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
Dismantle equipment to access and repair defective parts using hoists, hand tools, and mechanical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter changes, and scheduled inspections.
Order and track parts, manage purchase orders and invoices, and keep accurate repair records.
Test and inspect equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to the field.
