The position involves reading schematics, troubleshooting equipment, installing wiring and participating in the electrical apprentice program toward a licensed journeyman level, with longer hours during peak periods.

Qualifications

• At least one year of electrical schooling or two years of electrical experience.
• Pass a written basic electrical aptitude test.
• Read and interpret basic electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical equipment and components.
• Perform basic electrical system layout and installations.
• Source references for wire sizing and conduit sizing.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tasks in facilities with safety awareness.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Promote safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Wire stop/start panels and MCC buckets for proper operation.
• Assist in apprenticeship program toward journeyman level.
• Work extended hours during peak demand periods.
