Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, including generators, pumps, HVAC, and metalwork equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure minimal downtime across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas) preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment to keep fleet reliable.
• Support the team in a safety-focused environment and adapt to changing priorities.
