Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine materials and dimensions.
• Prepares layouts using measuring tools and marks cutting lines.
• Shapes and assembles materials; verifies layout with tools; erects framework.
• Builds stairs, partitions, cabinets, and trims.
• Familiar with rigging & hoisting of materials.
• Performs millwright duties from blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and dimensions.
• Shapes materials to measurements; assembles components and verifies trueness.
• Builds stairs and installs partitions and cabinet work.
• Fits and installs window frames, doors, trim, and hardware.
• Erects scaffolding and ladders and coordinates tasks in absence of Foreman.
• Ensures safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
