Job summary

MW Industries, Inc. in Addison, IL is seeking a Machinist - Cold Heading Operator for the 2nd shift to run and maintain our cold heading and related tooling. This on-site manufacturing role requires strong mechanical skills and blueprint reading to produce parts to print.

You will mentor newer operators, perform PM tasks around tooling changes, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience in cold heading and a background in the fastener

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years' experience operating cold heading equipment.
• Experience in the fastener industry is a plus.
• Able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Abides by all safety practices.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Operates and troubleshoots single and multi-blow cold heading machines.
• Reads blueprints proficiently.
• Performs preventive maintenance before/after tooling changes.
• Ensures parts are made to print; tooling meets specs.
• Inspects tooling and setup.
• Repairs/maintains tools and dies.
• Adjusts machinery to ensure quality parts.
• Loads coils and trains lower level operators.
