Job summary

SPX Technologies in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Machinist to produce parts on CNC and manual mills and lathes. You will load materials, set up work offsets, follow blueprints, and ensure quality through inspection and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in machine shop, the ability to read GD&T and G/M codes, and strong teamwork. This full-time role offers daytime shifts and opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ Machine Shop Experience.
• Experience operating CNC and manual mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, G and M codes.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts according to production schedules and lead directions.
• Load raw materials and workpieces into machines safely and accurately.
• Set up machine work offsets, fixtures, and attachments per work instructions.
• Maintain equipment with daily/weekly preventive maintenance and report repairs.
• Follow blueprints, specifications, and surface location requirements to ensure accuracy.
• Document production activities and communicate irregularities to shifts.
