Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC job shop experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work with little supervision.
• Basic understanding of true position tolerance and Cartesian coordinate systems.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic calculations.
• Requires travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC lathes to machine parts to customer requirements.
• Work in a high-volume environment.
• Read basic blueprints and perform basic job shop calculations.
• Understand CNC operation, set-ups, tooling, and programming concepts, including feeds and speeds.
• Follow written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools and stock.
