Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC in Texas seeks a Machinist to set up and operate manually controlled and CNC machines, performing precision bench work and fabricating machine parts from metal, plastics and composites.

You will read blueprints, use gauges to meet tolerances, and follow ISO safety procedures while maintaining quality. The role may involve weekend/shift needs and travel up to 10% to support production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years machinist experience preferred.
• Commitment to safe, quality workmanship.
• Ability to accept and apply instructions in various formats.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and other employees.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Operates machines such as lathe, milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw or band saw.
• Fabricates and shapes parts from metal, plastics and composites.
• Selects, aligns, secures and removes fixtures and tools on machines.
• Uses inserts, fixtures and tooling as needed.
• Cleans and maintains machinery.
• Tracks parts and jobs in the system.
• Follows ISO and safety procedures.
