Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC in Odessa, TX is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, performing precision bench work to fabricate, repair, and alter machine parts and tools.

You will read blueprints, measure with gauges, and select tooling, while adhering to ISO standards and safety procedures. The role requires 3–5 years of machinist experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under minimal supervision on first shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years machinist experience preferred.
• Commitment to safe, quality workmanship.
• Ability to accept and apply instructions in various formats.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and other employees.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Operates lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, and other tools.
• Fabricates and shapes parts from metal, plastics and composites.
• Selects and secures fixtures and cutting tools on machines.
• Maintains ISO compliance and safety procedures.
