Job summary

Double E Company, LLC is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to produce precision components for core production lines. You will operate Okuma CNC lathes, work with OSP controls, prove out jobs, inspect first pieces, and adjust tooling to hold tight tolerances in a dynamic, low-volume environment.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of materials, part geometries, tooling, and fixtures as product mixes frequently change.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation experience.
• Experience with Okuma machines and OSP controls preferred, or willingness to learn Okuma.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify tolerances with precision measuring tools.
• Comfort using inspection tools to verify parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes (Okuma) in a low-volume, high-mix environment with multiple changeovers.
• Sequence jobs to reduce setup time and maintain production flow.
• Set tooling, fixtures, offsets, and programs; verify setup accuracy.
• Inspect parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot issues and improve setups and cycle times.
• Monitor cutting conditions and adjust offsets and tooling as needed.
• Load and verify the correct CNC program and setup revision.
• Maintain coolant, lubrication, equipment, and a safe, orderly work area.
• Cross-train with machining, saw, assembly, and service teams.
