Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Johnstown, CO seeks an experienced Carpenter to build, install, and repair structures and fixtures for enclosure needs. The role covers rough and finish carpentry, with emphasis on safety in our IIF culture and adherence to plans.

You will read blueprints, measure precisely, and form building frames while mentoring helpers. Applicants should have high school diploma or equivalent and apprenticeship or training.

Qualifications

• History of carpentry experience and proven results.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a routine basis.
• Read and understand basic blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Read building plans and sketches for information pertaining to materials and dimensions.
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other building materials.
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
• Where applicable, complete basic concrete formwork and place/finish concrete.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure tool upkeep.
