Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Carpenter for Rochester, MN. The role involves constructing, fabricating, erecting and repairing structures and fixtures to meet building envelope needs, with tasks ranging from rough to finish carpentry and occasional concrete formwork.

Responsibilities include reading plans, laying out materials, cutting accurately, building frameworks, and guiding junior workers while maintaining safety and quality in AP’s IIF culture.

Qualifications

• History of carpentry experience and proven results.
• High school diploma or equivalent and apprenticeship training.
• Demonstrated reading of blueprints, specifications and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Read building plans and sketches; determine materials and dimensions.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic and other materials.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floors and doorframes.
• Inspect work-in-progress to ensure conformance to specs and quality standards.
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
• Complete basic concrete formwork and place/finish concrete where applicable.
• Maintain a clean work area and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Ensure workmanship meets AP quality standards and safety culture.
