Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking an Assembler Sub– 1st Shift to build assemblies following blueprints and SOPs. You will operate hand tools and small power tools, read engineering drawings, and ensure products meet quality standards in a fast-paced, open-air manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include following detailed assembly instructions, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and collaborating with teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates an attention to detail.
• Ability to read, communicate and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints and engineering drawings in the English Language.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, small power tools, and other equipment following detailed assembly instructions to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Operates within SOPs and JSAs; reads blueprints and engineering drawings to assemble final and subassembly products.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and adheres to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Builds teamwork by coordinating with other departments, shifts, and management to meet production goals.
• Able to train across assembly positions in all production areas and product varieties.
